Oh my goodness! This tea smells delicious! It's December and it's cookie time! This year we made pistachio-raisin biscotti, I have yet to make a batch to have at home for us but after smelling this tea I'm tempted to break into the biscotti we made for family! The leaves smell like almond oil.

Surprisingly Capital Tea's O Christmas Tea has a base of sencha with the addition of orange pieces, peppercorn, almond slices, and marigold petals. I'd never suspect it had sencha in it. I brewed this tea for about 4 minutes. It definitely smells like almonds but I'm a bit disappointed in the taste. I think I will give my taste buds a break and come back to it.

I brewed this tea again and gave it a second chance. The sencha in this tea must be flavored because the almond flavor is not like you're just eating plain almonds. It tastes like almond extract but not just that, there is something in it that ruins it for me and it tastes like dubble bubble gum. I can't taste any orange or peppercorn at all. If those flavors were more prominent it may have saved this cup for me but this is definitely nothing I'd want to have again. A bit disappointing since I've enjoyed reviewing two other teas from Capital Tea and had a good experience.
