My sample today which arrived in a vacuum packed envelope consists of huge black tea leaves which don't really have an aroma beyond the general one expected of any black tea. Not having any specific instructions about this tea I set it up using boiling water and a steep time of two minutes.
The liquor is a medium brown tinged with orange and it now has a faint fruity aroma. I am not very impressed by the flavor itself. It is so mild that all that really comes through is a whisper of cherries. Also as the tea cools a medicinal aftertaste starts to develop. Normally I would try again with more leaves but I actually started out with more then usual since the aroma was so mild.
The tea itself is drinkable but I certainly wouldn't go out of my way to get myself a cup. Opinions do vary so you might find that this tea is just perfect for your tastes however.
