"Its buttery texture and flavour balance the brilliant vegetal taste perfectly."

Gyokuro is typically a rich man's drink, but among the man things Mark T. Wendell does well is provide quality teas at accessible prices. I steep one teaspoon of the flat, deep green leaves at 180° for two minutes. The cup has a vegetal scent and a full mouthfeel. It's buttery and vegetal. Its buttery texture and flavour balance the brilliant vegetal taste perfectly. The only downside is a slight acidity that detracts from the smoothness, though it doesn't take away from the flavour.
My 3-minute second infusion is less heavy and more simple than the first. My third infusion is more of a tea water than a proper tea. It's mild and it's a nice finish to this experience.
In a word, this is delicious. It's affordable enough as it is, but it's good enough that it's a downright steal at this price. Just take my money already, Mark T Wendell. Take it all.
Visit Mark T. Wendell Teas for more information on this tea and many more from their extensive product catalogue.
