These medium-sized green balls have a beautiful sheen. I use one teaspoon per cup and steep at 180° for two minutes. It's creamy with a decisive vegetal twist. It's got an oily texture and full mouthfeel. There's a hint of orchid and a creamy finish, but the dominant flavour throughout is artichoke.
For the three-minute second steep, I raise the temperature to 195°. It has a cleaner finish than the first, touched by a quickly-dissipating mineral flavour. There's a slight milkiness to the nose, but it seems that the creaminess is already gone from the flavour, which is disappointing. This steep is mainly vegetal with an underlying mineral note.
The three-minute third is almost entirely mineral; it's very 1-dimensional. The following two steeps are similar, lacking much depth of character. Overall, a good tea but not my favourite. T-oolong Tea has so many amazing leaves, this one just doesn't stand out for me.
