|"The tea truly is a treat for anyone who enjoys darjeeling or a lighter black tea. Highly recommended!"|
The tea leaves themselves are rather long and range in color from a pale gold to olive to red. Quite pretty to look at. The dry aroma is a very faint and chocolatey. I set it up to brew using 195 degree water and a steep time of 3 minutes. The resulting liquor is a dark amber and the aroma is one of grapes and bread.
My first impression of this tea was how tasty it is. Unlike most darjeeling, this tea isn't all about the muscatel. Instead I am greeted with baked apples, dark honey and a hint of chocolate. There is no dryness or astringency to be found which makes for a very pleasant cup of tea. It is also fairly complex and as it cools I am now able to pick up hints of peaches and grapes.
I really enjoyed this tea and would love to pick some up for myself. It truly is a treat for anyone who enjoys darjeeling or a lighter black tea.
