goldentipsjasminegreenEveryone loves jasmine for it's floral taste. Golden Tip's jasmine tea scent is definitely floral but not overpowering, they have a sweetness similar to that of chocolate. (I feel as if I'm comparing everything to chocolate lately!)

I started by brewing at 165 F for 2 minutes with a tablespoon of leaves for 8 ounces of water. The top of the cup has an oily appearance with an amber liquor. At 2 minutes the cup was a bit thin for me and a bit lacking in over-all flavor. There is the presence of jasmine but something just seems missing in this cup. At 3 minutes it becomes a little thicker bodied but still not as fresh and balanced as I'd like. There's a sweetness to this tea that is enjoyable with the minuscule taste of jasmine but it's definitely nothing spectacular.

I just recently received some jasmine green from a friends trip to Twinnings in England so I may be a bit biased, but this tea just didn't seem as fresh. Golden Tips price is reasonable matching other jasmine I've seen I just feel as if there is better jasmine green out there to be enjoyed. You can pass on this one.
