Canton Tea is known for producing and sourcing exceptional teas. Their Lychee Black is from Fujian, China. Canton's site does not exactly say how they achieve the lychee flavor, most likely the leaves are sprayed with flavoring.
This tea was brewed for 2 minutes at 200 F, the liquor is reddish-brown and very crisp looking. The scent of the infusion is very sweet and filled with peaches. The first infusion had a strong peach taste to it, the lychee taste lingers at the end. Lychee flavor is more pronounced in the second cup. I'm not a huge fan of fruit flavored tea, overall this is a good tea, but certainly not the best offering I've had from Canton. If you're looking to make bubble tea with real tea and no additional flavoring syrups I would give this tea a try.
