This is a very fragrant tea with a rose aroma that really reminds me of old country roses. You know those ones that could smell a block off. And I have to give kudos to folks that make this blend in that the roses does not overpower that wonderful scent of black tea.
I set up the leaves to brew at 212 degrees for two minutes. The resulting liquor is a golden brown. The fragrance of the roses has really faded allowing me to enjoy instead ones of honey, a hint of clover along with a overall sweetness.
This tea really has a fruity, citrusy taste that walks right up and shakes your hand. This is followed burst of flowery sweetness that lingers on the roof of the mouth. This is a very smooth tea that is a pleasure to drink when hot but where this tea really shines is when it's cold.
And I want to thank Mark T. Wendell for sending me a large enough sample to be able to make up a pitcher to enjoy over ice. Along with the wonderful tastes mentioned above, the roses add just that extra element that raises it from good to great. I know that I will picking up a pound next summer. Heck I will probably pick some up earlier because it is so good hot also.
