Hello, I’m Jenn. I’m 28 and am a middle school technology teacher. However, my major in college was vocal performance, a.k.a. opera, and I continue to sing on the side. I am currently going back to school part-time to get my Masters of Education because when you find a job you love, you gotta stick with it. I spend the majority of my free time reading, singing, writing songs/poetry, messing around on my computers, and I really could go on and on. The important thing is that most of those activities are done with a cup of tea in hand.
I have been enjoying and exploring loose leaf tea for about 2 years and still feel as if I've barely scratched the surface. "Tea" has been a part of my life for longer than 2 years though. I say "tea" because I really started with herbal tisanes while in college. As said above, I was a vocal performance major and well, we opera singers constantly had tea to sip on for our delicate throats (haha). I stuck with my herbal tea bags during that time while everyone else had actual tea. Real tea never appealed to me because of the times I had tried watered down and highly sugared iced tea and figured that was what all tea tasted like.
About 4 years ago I was introduced to loose leaf tea through a gift certificate to Adagio teas. I of course ordered the herbal sampler knowing I would enjoy those and received a free sample of an actual tea. Their mango black tea to be exact. It smelled good, I tried it, I liked it, been hooked ever since. I've become more in love with tea over the last 2 years and it is rare for me not to have at least a cup of tea everyday if not more (well, a lot more).
