Teaviews Profile: JennH
My name is Jenn and I'm a thirty something, animal loving, kombucha brewing, quasi creative, vegan foodie, and tea fiend living with my soul mate and three pups in the suburbs of Los Angeles California.
I have loved tea my entire life. I remember storing my childhood treasures in my grandma Nonny’s discarded tea tins. Nonny gave me my first fancy china teacup, and I don’t think that it’s any mystery why even to this day I associate the smell of black tea with happiness.
Most days, I can be found tinkering in my workshop, (read as: destroying perfectly good materials with hammers and Dremel tool attachments), developing new recipes in my kitchen, or writing at my computer. I have an Etsy shop where I hawk my wares www.baubles4knitwits.etsy.com. I sell pretty little knitted and knitting accessories in that shop, and I’m looking to open another shop soon where I’ll sell metal worked charms and jewelry.
I grew up moving around quite a bit and living in many different places. As a result, I love meeting new people and I make fast friends. I’d love to connect with you here on Teaviews, or you can also find me on Steepster as http://steepster.com/CraftyVeganJenn and on Twitter as http://twitter.com/#!/cookinvegan. I love talking about tea, food, the oddities in life, recipes, and vegan issues. However, I’m not a person who’s only interested in people who have views exactly like my own. Diversity makes the world interesting.
Because I’m a foodie at heart, I’m open to trying almost any tea, herbal, or tisane that comes my way. My only restriction is that I can't drink any teas made with dairy products or honey. I have an adventurous pallet and I’m always excited to expand my tea knowledge and experience. For me, enjoying tea is all about the flavor and sensory experience.
