Almond Tea

Almonds are a member of the genus Prunus, which also includes plums, cherries and apricots. Despite its commonly-used classification, the almond is actually a seed, not a nut. Almonds originated in Persia and have long been a central part of Middle Eastern cuisine. In holistic medicine, almonds are believed to aid digestion, prevent cancer and improve the complexion. Studies have also shown them to reduce cholesterol. Followers of Ayurvedic medicine believe that almonds have anti-inflammatory and immunity boosting effects, and that they are beneficial for both the brain and nervous system.

Laura's review: "First and foremost you taste the tea--which in my strongly brewed cup has a nice body and is somewhat drying on the tongue. Then you begin to taste the cherry. It comes in at the end and lingers." Read review » |

Tea Guys Gingersnap Cookie
7.5/10 — 3 reviews

 |
Laura's review: "While I liked this blend to a certain extent, I do feel that its given name is poorly chosen. I try not to fault a blend for being poorly named, but its name does set up expectations. If I am purchasing a blend called Gingersnap Cookie, then I am thinking it will have ginger in it and a cookie quality." Read review » |

Vanessa's review: "The fruit and nut ingredients also impart a natural sweetness to the tea, so no additional sweetener was necessary. This was a surprisingly tasty rooibos blend, and one that will go wonderfully with desserts." Read review » |

 |
Vanessa's review: "While I enjoyed the pairing of almond and vanilla, the poor oolong kind of got lost in the mix. I think the almond and vanilla ingredients used in this blend would have been even better if blended with a hearty black tea that could stand up to these srong flavors. " Read review » |

Tea Guys Green Walnut

 |
Vanessa's review: "In this case, the tea itself really is a minor player in the flavor profile. The nuts and pineapple come through the strongest. I was really impressed with how well all of the flavors melded together." Read review » |

 |
Lea's review: "While I don't like the flavors together, the tea and walnut would be nice on their own. The walnut would be really good in a mild black tea or oolong (too strong and the walnut flavor might get lost). " Read review » |

Zhena's Gypsy Tea Winter Almond White Tea
7/10 — 1 review

 |
Vanessa's review: "This tea's flavor in no way matches its name and there really isn't even a smidgen of almond flavor, but if you happen to be looking for a heavily-scented and flavored rose tea, this wouldn't be a bad selection.

Christine's review: "The taste, admittedly, is not my favorite, and I believe I've had a few other teas which taste similar, but it is by no means bad. I think it's the almond that stands out a bit more than the other flavors, with just a hint of cinnamon." Read review » |

Teavana Formosa Nut Oolong

Babette's review: "This isn’t a strong tea. I don’t think that over-brewing it would make it too bitter to enjoy. And it is very smooth with a delicate sweetness. Even sweet tea lovers could be satisfied with this sans additional sugar." Read review » |
