Apple Tea

Apples are one of the most widely-cultivated tree fruits, and are actually a member of the rose family (Rosaceae). The wild ancestor of the domesticated apple tree (Malus sieversii) originated in what is now Kazakhstan, and can still be found growing in the mountains of Central Asia. Research suggests that apples may help to reduce the risk of certain types of cancer and heart disease, they lower cholesterol and help maintain a healthy weight. Apples are also high in antioxidants.

Mighty Leaf Mayan Chocolate Truffle

"Primarily a fruit tea, with apple the primary and overwhelming flavor. The chocolate overlaps but doesn't quite compliment the other flavors... the chilis, alas, were nowhere to be found."

Zhena's Gypsy Tea Papaya Mango

"Unfortunately, the flavor profile is dominated by the rooibos, hibiscus, rosehips and licorice root---though not necessarily in that order. Those ingredients come together and taste almost medicine-like to me."

Zhena's Gypsy Tea Berry Bellini

4.5/10  —  1 review
Teaviews Member: Laura Laura's review:
"As a cold beverage, this is at least drinkable. There are, in fact, fruity notes of peach and raspberry. However, even iced this remains very, very tart---and that is with a rather healthy dose of sugar."

"Brew this one at low temperature if you don't want an exceedingly bitter cup of tea. Even at its best, though, this tea didn't work for me at all."

"The green apple scent is welcoming in the leaves, but once brewed this is a bitter, slightly-smoky tea... the green apple flavor is there but it just doesn't work together very well for me."
