Cherry Tea

The cherry belongs to the family Rosaceae, genus Prunus, along with almonds, peaches, plums, apricots and bird cherries. The subgenus, Cerasus, is distinguished by having the flowers in small corymbs of several together (not singly, nor in racemes), and by having a smooth fruit with only a weak groove or none along one side. The subgenus is native to the temperate regions of the Northern Hemisphere, with two species in America, three in Europe, and the remainder in Asia. The word “cherry” comes from the French word “cerise,” which comes in turn from the Latin words cerasum and Cerasus.

"I can't believe its not soda! (Much like many cannot believe their spread is not butter) this rooibos herbal selection is top notch and delicious. "

"Besides the real thing, I don't think you could get much closer to the flavor of a cherry-vanilla cola. The flavor is just about spot-on, and it is only the lack of carbonation that makes it distinguishable from the real deal. "

"First and foremost you taste the tea--which in my strongly brewed cup has a nice body and is somewhat drying on the tongue. Then you begin to taste the cherry. It comes in at the end and lingers."
