Chili Tea

The chili pepper is actually a type of berry related to the nightshade family, Solanaceae. Chili peppers were one of the first cultivated crops in the Americas, as far back as 6,000 years ago. They are high in vitamins A, B, B6 and C, as well as potassium, magnesium and iron. The chemical capsaicin, the source of the heat in all chili peppers, has been used as a treatment for chronic pain.
