Darjeeling Tea

Darjeeling tea has often been called the “champagne of tea,” and has traditionally been prized in the United Kingdom above all other black teas. Darjeeling tea is grown only in the Darjeeling region of West Bengal, India. It has traditionally been made only into black teas, but in recent years more Darjeeling oolongs and Darjeeling whites have been entering the market. Even traditional Darjeeling black tea is usually oxidized less than most other black teas, giving it a taste and body more similar to traditional oolong.

Thunderbolt Tea Giddapahar Musk 2009

10/10  —  2 reviews
Teaviews Member: Lynn Lynn's review:
"The flavor was rich and wonderfully nuanced: musky, Darjeeling flowery, toasty, nutty, spicy, a little smoky, with a splendid honey and floral finish that lingered powerfully in the nose and on the tongue. I found myself consciously inhaling as I sipped this tea, relishing the fragrance along with the flavor, as they fully compliment one another."

American Tea Room Confections

10/10  —  1 review
Teaviews Member: Lynn Lynn's review:
"Tea bark: The source of the toothsome aroma was a luscious dark semisweet chocolate bark enhanced with American Tea Room Tangier Black Tea and bits of dried apricot. Intensely rich, a little went a long way. That’s the great thing about quality chocolate; you don’t need very much to satisfy. This one was a definite thumbs up."

10/10  —  1 review
Teaviews Member: Jamie Jamie's review:
"The first sip is sweet and dry, fruity in a primarily citrusy sort of way and with (here is the unique and hard to describe part) a lilt of flavor at the rear of the sip, as though you are nearly done with your sip but suddenly find yourself tasting a second round of all the flavors you tasted to start! This is delicious! "

"Alternatively sweet, floral and lemony, a potent bergamot flavouring is paired with a pleasantly dry finish, with a hint of muscatel to it. The taste of the tea base is quite mild however and overpowered by that of the bergamot oil."
