Ginger Tea

Ginger root is not actually a “root” but rather the horizontal, subterranean stem (or rhizome) of the Zingiber officinale plant. The plant originated in China, but eventually spread to India, Southeast Asia, West Africa and the Caribbean. It is often used medicinally as a stimulant, and to treat dyspepsia and colic. Studies have shown it may also help with arthritis and have blood thinning and cholesterol lowering properties.
