Grapefruit Tea

The grapefruit is a sub-tropical citrus tree native to the island of Barbados. It was developed as a hybrid of the pomelo and the sweet orange. Originally known as the “forbidden fruit” of Barbados, it was later called the shaddock and eventually renamed in the 19th century to “grapefruit,” because of the way the fruit clusters on the tree, similar to grapes.

"A well-blended green tea with just a hint of a citrusy, grapefruit-zing... sweet all on its own and perfect for a morning cuppa."

Kokomo Tea Grapefruit Black

7/10  —  2 reviews
Teaviews Member: Laura Laura's review:
"The black tea base is pretty good and it is worth consideration based upon that alone, but if you are looking for a grapefruit tea that is bright and refreshing, then there are better choices. "

"Grapefruit permeates the entire cup very subtly and your strongest taste of the citrus comes at the very beginning but mostly at the end of each sip."

Naivetea Yuzu Oolong

Teaviews Member: Laura Laura's review:
"This is pretty full flavored and the grapefruit flavor does largely overpower the oolong. The taste is natural, zesty and refreshing though."

"This tea was good but not outstanding. The tea is magnificently perfumed and deserves regard for the quality of the scenting. The oolong base is a bit too subtle paired with the strength of the yuzu for me to give highest marks."

Kalahari Ruby Grapefruit White Tea

5/10  —  4 reviews
Teaviews Member: Laura Laura's review:
"It is plain and might as well be an unflavored white tea because the grapefruit flavor is AWOL. This is not a blend that I would buy or really recommend to others for purchase."

Teaviews Member: Vanessa Vanessa's review:
"As far as taste goes, this tea does have a definite grapefruit flavor, although it is not an overwhelming flavor and you'll probably have to focus and seek it out to really get it. That earthy-mushroom quality I noticed in the aroma was also present in the flavor, and actually was more noticeable to me than the grapefruit flavor was. "

"The Bai Mu Dan taste was front and center, ready for delectation. What I failed to discover...was the grapefruit. Now, I've had it before in actual FRUIT form. I know how strong it is. Aside from a hint of citrusy undertones, I found no grapefruit taste."

"The flavour just did not measure up for me. It tasted like an average cheap white tea with little citrus scent or flavour. "
