Green Tea

Green tea is a form of tea that has undergone minimal oxidation during processing. It has traditionally been popular only in its native China and other parts of Asia. Western traders in the 18th and 19th centuries prized black tea over green because it could survive the long journeys back to Europe and the Americas. But with modern transportation, green tea has gradually emerged as a viable and popular drink throughout the world.
It is greatly prized for its health effects, which may include prevention of cancer and obesity. Green tea is also high in EGCG, a type of catechin that is believed to have numerous health benefits.

Raven's review: "Surprisingly a true ode to the bizarre antics of kabuki theatre with surreal blue green leaves and starring a bold candied cherry flavour while rich strokes of marine from the sencha round out the chorus. Although entertaining, the medicinal quality of the cherry notes are an unforgettable performance." Read review » |

Sophie's review: "A flowery concoction that is quite sweet, with the overbearing flavour of cherry simple syrup. However the Sencha used is its saving grace as it punches through with a clean, vegetal edge." Read review » |

Lynn's review: "The syrupy fragrance persisted and pervaded the flavor of the tea, still very candy-like, but the sharp, vegetal edge of the sencha did find its way through, cutting and balancing the sweetness much better than expected. Nonetheless, the cherry candy fragrance won in the end, lingering strongly in my mouth and nose. " Read review » |

Vanessa's review: "Inhaling the aroma while sipping the tea only exaggerates the earthy flavor, which in this case I think is best likened to damp leaf litter. This seems like a high-quality tea that will appeal to veteran pu'er drinkers" Read review » |
