Japanese Tea

Japanese teas are, by and large, green teas that tend to taste more grassy or vegetative than their Chinese counterparts. Types of Japanese green tea include Sencha, Gyokuro, Matcha, Bancha, Hojicha, Kukicha and Genmaicha. Matcha is the powdered tea most often drunk during Japanese tea ceremonies, while sencha is the most popular green tea drunk most often by everyday Japanese citizens.
