Licorice Root Tea

The liquorice plant is a legume (related to beans and peas) and native to southern Europe and parts of Asia. A sweet flavor, commonly referred to simply as licorice, can be extracted from its root. In traditional Chinese medicine, liquorice is commonly used in herbal formulas to “harmonize” the other ingredients in the formula and to carry the formula into all 12 of the regular meridians.

"A deliciously complex blend of mint, green tea and spices... sort of a "mint chai" that - if you close your eyes - can easily transport you to a Tunisian street cafe."

SpecialTeas Mocha Spice

Teaviews Member: Stephen Stephen's review:
"More a spiced tea than a chocolate tea... the foundation flavors here are from the chicory root, cardamom and licorice root. Chocolate flavoring here is a mere afterthought, if its detected at all."
