Baxter Tea Company

Baxter Tea Company was founded by Lisa Liberatore, a Maine native who grew up running up and down the lakes, rivers and mountains of Baxter State Park. The company is named after Percival Baxter, a wealthy Maine landowner and the governor of the state. He donated 201,018 acres of lush wilderness in the heart of Maine, so that kids like Lisa could appreciate the natural beauty of the green outdoors from birth, straight on through their entire lives. Baxter Tea Co. donates 10% of loose tea sales (excluding promotional/discounted items) to Baxter State Park for the preservation of the park for future generations. "In order to have the full blueberry muffin dessert experience, you need to sweeten this just a tad and give it a splash of dairy (I chose fat free half & half). This is just plain delicious. "

"Without any additives, it could easily be an any-time-of-the-day tea. Add a pinch of sugar and some milk, and it's one heck of a dessert, too."

"The natural blueberry flavor melded effortlessly with the nutty rooibos base, creating a creamy and fruity flavor. This tea has every quality that one would want from a dessert tea: rich, creamy, sweet, and smooth. I think I may have found my new favorite rooibos blend. "

"A lot of people don't go for green teas because of the grassiness. This would be a good place to start if one were to venture toward "greener" pastures."

"The Sencha isn't very strong in its presence, which is disappointing, but the mandarin is not overwhelming either, which I think is a good thing."
