"For a delicious, easily drinkable cup of very fine black tea, I would not hesitate to reach for this tea just about every time."

"The fragrance of the dry tea was amazing, smelling exactly (to my nose, at least) like the finest sweet dark chocolate. If I’d tested this blindfolded, I would have guessed it was flavored with cocoa hulls. It had malty notes, too, all of which boded well. "

"This is the perfect tea for someone who enjoys some complexity to their tea, but doesn't like all the fake flavors added to tea, or an overwhelming flavor of malt, wood, or smoke! "

"A good solid example of a Golden Monkey but don't be fooled by the cocoa aroma in the dry leaf. "

Teaviews Member: Vanessa Vanessa's review:
"A medium-bodied black tea with notes of caramel and fruit, followed by a mild yet lasting bitter kick. In all, it was a decent black tea, but perhaps just a little too astringent for my likings"

"Occasionally, I run into caramel, malt, and a robust "hint" of cocoa, but this was like smelling chocolate leaf dipped in nutmeg."

Teaviews Member: Vanessa Vanessa's review:
"Nutty and grainy flavors are the prominent flavors while a most subtle underlying green (grassy) flavor is just barely present. If you are looking for a smooth and easy-drinking green tea, this is the one for you."

"The apricot-y first infusion of this green was so simple and delicious that it strikes me, cost-wise, as a real bargain and definitely a green I could enjoy every day. "

" The taste was pleasant enough with a grape-ish lean on the front and middle and only a mild creamy/vegetal finish."

Teaviews Member: Raven Raven's review:
"Though not quite fruity, the flicker of lime and gooseberries in the predominantly piney bouquet map out a charming change of pace for a mellow not so vegetal green. "

"I loved this light colored tea. It's scent is floral, earthy, vegetative, and sweet - all at the same time! The flavor is gentle, and slides over the tongue bringing these scents together into a mild unique flavor."

"What I like best is the sweet, greenish and buttery taste that comes through. This simple, refreshingly sweet and lightly floral taste develops more and more as the tea cools a bit in the cup. "

Teaviews Member: Vanessa Vanessa's review:
"The primary flavor was clearly a floral flavor, perhaps that of an orchid. A mild butteriness was also present which rounded out the floral notes and provided for a more enjoyable cup."

"The taste was equally as light, yielding something more like a Bai Mu Dan by way of a verbena leaf; almost a cream-citrus lean."

Silk Road Teas White Peony

6.6/10  —  4 reviews
Teaviews Member: Raven Raven's review:
"After the delightful dash of fruitiness in the aroma, the tea seems to reveal a chimera of sorts as the stemmy, sunflower seed flavours and lighter body seem to take on a green tea's form. "

"A delicate white tea, with notes of honeysuckle and light, fresh baked bread. Well worth the price."

Teaviews Member: Vanessa Vanessa's review:
"The tea was primarily earthy in its flavor, with the specific notes of grass and melon coming through as most prominent, followed by more subtle chestnut undertones. While this is a white tea, it does not appear to be decidedly so, as its flavor teeters on the boundaries between green and white teas. "

"It had some of the floral, fruity and nutty characteristics of its white tea ilk...only more spinached."
