Thunderbolt Tea Turzum Himalayan Mystic (DJ 32) - Darjeeling Second Flush 2012

10/10  —  1 review
Teaviews Member: Geoff Geoff's review:
"By smell and sight, it was like I was looking on Darjeeling's version of a Yunnan Dian Hong or Ruby 18 (only with smaller leaves)."

Thunderbolt Tea Giddapahar Musk 2009

10/10  —  2 reviews
Teaviews Member: Lynn Lynn's review:
"The flavor was rich and wonderfully nuanced: musky, Darjeeling flowery, toasty, nutty, spicy, a little smoky, with a splendid honey and floral finish that lingered powerfully in the nose and on the tongue. I found myself consciously inhaling as I sipped this tea, relishing the fragrance along with the flavor, as they fully compliment one another."

"The flavor is indeed quite different than you would expect from a Darjeeling. It is quite light on the tongue, and sweet, with notes of honey, lychee, and fresh, untoasted hazelnut, with vegetal undertones. "

Thunderbolt Tea Arya Pearl 2009 Autumn Flush

9.5/10  —  1 review
Teaviews Member: Lynn Lynn's review:
"it is totally handcrafted, with absolutely no machines involved. Hand picked, it is laid out to dry in the sun for six to eight hours, and that's it. The result is a lovely sight to behold; whole leaves and bud clusters gently curled and still a light emerald green, as if they'd been plucked from the tea bush only a few hours ago. "

Teaviews Member: Jamie Jamie's review:
"My mind and senses both are really engaged by this tea, trying to place and discern the tastes and scents. The tea is quite flowery, almost like a perfume, but completely lacking in any cloying, oily component. The floral quality isn't strictly flowery. You won't sip this and think, "oh, it's a jasmine" or "oh, it's a rose." Instead, the floral sense is more diffuse than that. "

Teaviews Member: Vanessa Vanessa's review:
"Tastewise, this is a very complex tea which requires some concentration; this tea is probably best suited to an alert and focused drinker. Flavors of fruit, flowers, butter, nuts, mint, and grass/earth were all present. However the problem with this tea was that it was extremely bitter, as in bitter enough to negate many of the positive attributes. "
