Zoomdweebies

Zoomdweebie’s Tea Bar was founded in 2007 by long time tea enthusiast Frank Horbelt. Zoomdweebie’s boasts over 200 “VarieTEAs” of tea, all blended, flavored and packaged on site in small batches at their location in Wichita, KS. Zoomdweebie’s was initially conceived of as a tea bar, and they continue to serve hot and iced teas and tea lattes to a loyal following of mostly college students, however, the quality of their original and unique blends of tea have prompted the addition of an ecommerce website (www.zoomdweebies.com) as word continues to spread.

"I have yet to prepare it that way, but I can imagine that the latte version is total Coconut Cream Pie in a cup because it is very close even with just added milk and sugar as ingredients. "

"The flavors are more subtle than you'd find in most similar blends, but they work well together... a good introduction for those who aren't big fans of heavily spiced teas."

"There was a rich and thick texture of mate as I drank it. It was very refreshing. In the background there was a hint of licorice, maybe from the lemongrass."

"This tea would also be perfect for beginners who are interested in exploring the mate tradition, but aren't quite ready for the more bitter and thicker, though probably more "authentic," South American yerba brands."

Zoomdweebie's Chai with Chocolate

Teaviews Member: Shelly Shelly's review:
"The black tea base here is weak and slightly bitter... ginger is the primary flavor here, which may not be what most chai lovers will be expecting."

"A decent cup of chai, but both the spices and the chocolate flavors here were far too muted for my tastes."

"A rich chai with a strong chocolate undercurrent... it can be a little bitter but the sweetness of the chocolate tends to balance that out."
