New Sales (Ends February 15th):

Creamy Eggnog (Holiday Series: Christmas): 24% off ($4.50 1/2 oz)
Creamy Eggnog is part of our holiday series that encompasses a number of holidays from different religions. Many people might not think of eggnog as their number one choice for a Christmas flavor but Eggnog is particularly important in my family’s tradition of celebrating Christmas. Eggnog always marked the beginning of the Christmas season and was the last thing we would drink before we would try to go to sleep Christmas Eve. As a child, getting any sleep Christmas Eve would have been a miracle. There was always so much excitement and anticipation building. Creamy Eggnog pairs our buttery Organic Huangshan Mao Feng with a rich creamy eggnog flavor. The tea and flavor work well with each other and neither overshadows the other. This tea is sweet with a heavy cream and eggy quality. Add a little brown crystal sugar and the tea becomes extremely creamy, rich, and very much like eggnog. Some vanilla notes become pronounced and so do the egg notes. We added safflower for a touch of red for a festive Christmas colored tea.

Flowery Pineapple Oolong: 23% off ($5.00 1/2 oz)
This light delicate tea pairs our premium Wen Shan Bao Zhong with a light pineapple flavor. The buttery and orchid notes of the oolong as well as its light body marry well with the pineapple flavor for a well-balanced soft tea. Without sugar this oolong has a wonderful light natural flavor but add a little brown crystal sugar for a stronger yet still natural pineapple flavor.

Fukamushi Sencha Tenjo: 31% off ($9.25 an ounce
)
Our Fukamushi Sencha Tenjo originates from the Kakegawa region of Shizuoka prefecture in Japan. Fukamushi is a deep steamed Sencha. The leaves are steamed for twice as long as a regular Sencha, as a result the leaves will be less uniform in appearance: however, the liquor is sweeter and brighter. The leaves of this rare, high grade of Fukamushi Sencha have been plucked around the 7th day of the first flush harvest. The producer of this tea has received an award for best manufacturer in a nationwide contest. “Tenjo” means “above the sky” in Japanese. This full bodied sweet and juicy tea is complex yet well balanced and brisk with a brilliant neon green liquor. Notes of sweet peas, steamed cauliflower, fresh grass, and macadamia nuts can be detected as well as light toasted notes.

Gui Fei Oolong: 32% off ($4.25 an ounce)
Our Gui Fei Oolong was sourced from Lugu Township in Nantou County, Taiwan and is a particularly unique tea. Green leafhoppers are allowed to bite the tea leaves which causes the leaves to begin the healing process which creates the honey notes in this tea and also begins the oxidation process. This tea utilized traditional Dong Ding processing techniques. Gui Fei Oolong has a natural sweetness to it and produces no astringency. Notes of honey, lightly burned toast, raw almonds and apples can be detected.
