My mother first introduced me to it, I’m sure, because I don’t remember my father ever being much of a tea-drinker. Of course, Mom had her own way of making tea. My first love for tea came from drinking my mother’s Lipton instant tea with sweet and low when I was a child. It was always best when it had been sitting for a while and the ice was melted. I grew up on sweet Southern iced tea, sweetened with Sweet-n-Low as a concession to my diabetic mother and brother.
