specialteas-after-dark-herb.jpgI'm really not an herbal tea kind of guy.  Let's get that out there straight from the start.  I like my tea tasting like, well, tea.

Truth be told, I purchased this blend only to share with another Teaviews.com writer (Lea) who is particularly fond of herbals.  So I had no intention really of trying it myself.  But when I first opened the packaging to divvy out her sample, I was truly taken aback by the aroma of this "herbal melange."  Flowery, citrusy, bold and, well, enticing!

So of course I brewed myself a cup.

All I can say is... Wow.  Either I've been grossly misinformed about the worthiness of herbal teas, or this is a one-in-a-million near-perfect blend.

I won't even begin to try to explain the various flavor combinations that dance around on your tongue and permeate your nostrils while you're drinking this absolutely beautiful concoction.  All I know is that it was absolutely delicious.  Bold yet soothing, with complex yet complimentary flavors... this is one herbal tea - the ONLY herbal tea - I will definitely be purchasing again.

Consider my horizons expanded!

SpecialTeas describes this blend thusly:

"Relaxing herbal melange with orange/chamomile flavor. Contains citrus peels, rose-hip peels, chamomile flowers, orange blossoms, lemon grass, nana-mint and hibiscus."
