specialteas-after-dark-herb.jpgI enjoy a cup of chamomile from time to time. I rely on all types of herbal tea to help me unwind at the end of the day, so it's currently not in my tea rotation. I have a few different boxes of flavored chamomile, and regular bagged and loose, so I've had my fair share. Out of all of them that I've tried, this is the most satisfying.

The primary flavors coming through here are chamomile and bright, juicy orange. The scent of this tea is pleasant but mild and it brews a pale, honey-colored cup.

The characteristic that struck me most about this tea is that it doesn't have that thin, watery texture that too many chamomiles have. That's really noteworthy - for its kind, it's a rich tea that's full of flavor (something else that flavored chamomile can lack). It's relaxing and refreshing, and though it doesn't taste artificial, somehow it reminds me of Trix cereal...which is odd but nice, as it recalls childhood.

This is an exceptional blend. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys herbal tea. For people that don't enjoy herbals, but like citrus teas, I would still give this tea a try. It might surprise you.
