Thumbs up!"A floral, minty tea... not as energizing as the name might suggest, but rather soothing and calming."

teazone-perfect-day-start1.jpgWell for one, I have mixed opinions on Tea Zone's website. Some of their teas have lots of information on the tea you are buying, yet some just tell you what's in the tea, and that it's so good you should buy it! But, I think I have figured it out. . .If you are buying expensive tea they have much more information available, whereas if you buy something not so expensive, it seems you are on your own with steeping times, details and information about the tea.

Now on to the review. This tea, called ‘Perfect Day Start' includes chrysanthemum, chamomile, Gunpowder green tea, peppermint and spearmint. It has a pleasant, flowery chamomile-mint flavor.

This tea has strong herbal notes and the green gunpowder tea mixes in nicely. It has a spearmint and peppermint aftertaste that is quite delicious. The spearmint has a nice, cool soothing effect and the peppermint gives it a sharp delicious flavor. Although the brew tastes pretty good, it is not amazing.

After drinking this tea, I did not really receive any morning jump-start feelings. It was more of a calming, soothing tea rather then an energizing tea. I suppose the green gunpowder would add to the caffeine content, but it's not a tea you would drink and feel like jogging around the block afterward.

I would recommend trying this if you are a lover of flowery teas. The floral notes to this tea do make it quite good.

The Stash Yunnan Pu-erh with Chrysanthemum is the only chrys-laden tea that did count as a pick-me-up.

Other florals make me wish for a pillow.
