Thumbs up!"A delicious and natural tasting lemon/raspberry concoction, with the fruit flavors taking front and center. There is very little actual green-tea flavor here, however."

necessiteas-lemon-raspberry.jpgNecessiteas describes this blend:

This tea is a light and refreshing blend of Sencha, raspberry and lemon flavor, accented with lemon peel, lemon grass and raspberries. Great hot or iced!

Like most of the flavored-teas I've tried from The Necessiteas, I really enjoyed this Lemon Raspberry concoction.  You can see big juicy full raspberries interspersed amongst the leaves, along with big chunks of lemon peel and lemon grass.  The lemon and raspberry flavors make it through to the final brew, and in fact are the primary flavors here.  The sencha seems to impart little or no flavor or color to the actual brew, which leaves the liquor extremely light-colored, just a bare tinge of orange/yellow hue when held up to the light in a glass mug.   This is the one slight down-side to me - I would have enjoyed more of a green-tea flavor/base here.  What you get instead is more reminiscent of an herbal tisane, which itself is good and still quite tasty, but not quite the "flavored green tea" experience I was expecting.

All that said, if you're a fan of lemons and raspberries, you will almost certainly enjoy this tea.  (Just don't expect too much green-tea flavor!).  Once again Linsey at The Necessiteas has found the magical combination of ingredients to result in a delicious and natural-tasting blend.
