Its OK"Spearmint and eucalyptus dominate this blend, which is naturally sweet but overall a bit plain. Still, I enjoyed it."

teazone-eight-treasures.jpg The Eight Treasures Herbal Blend from Teazone is a magnificent mixture of Rosemary, Lemon Balm, Linder, Eucalyptus, Wood Betony, Blackberry leaf, Ginseng, and Spearmint. On their website the list this information about the tea: “Naturally decaffeinated. Blended with eight different herbs, Eight Treasures Blend is the perfect tea after a stressful and busy day. Delicious, calming and soothing with the medicinal properties that help to ease anxiety and stress, reduce headache, and promote digestion.”

I was very intrigued when I saw rosemary as an ingredient because I grow my own for cooking. I had heard it being used in tea but was not really sure how it would end up. You can see all the different ingredients in this tea and has a great mix of colors when all the little pieces swirl around as you pour your boiling water over it. After a nice long steep the liquor is a beautiful golden-orange color. With the aroma coming off of this tea I can easily imagine it being very good for a cold or a sore throat.

Surprisingly I didn't have to add any sweetener. However, I could not pick out all the ingredients but this is likely due to some overpowering the others. The most prominent flavor is the spearmint and mixed with the nice cooling effects of eucalyptus it is very refreshing even when hot. Teazone suggests that this makes a great iced tea and I would have to agree with that assumption. At $7 for a ¼ pound it's in the general price range you would see for an herbal tea. It didn't necessarily wow me in anyway but it has an interesting list of ingredients and a great flavor. I could only argue that perhaps the flavor of this tea is a little simple and plain.
