Thumbs up!"This blend was pretty good, though I didn't really care for the citrus zing in the aftertaste... "

serendipitea-razzle-dazzle.jpgRaspberry is probably my favorite tea to drink. I love black tea with a crisp raspberry flavor. That being said, this tea didn't quite dazzle me. Like many fruit teas that I've tried, meaning actual tea and not an herbal tisane, they're frequently mucked up with... citrus. More often than not, it is a combination of hibiscus and rosehips, which I personally detest.

SerendipiTea's website lists the flavors for this tea as raspberry, green tea, and “fruit blend”. I guess I feel they should have left it at green tea and raspberry. I just don't care for that citrus bite at the end of tea (unless it's an actual citrus flavored tea).

Now, there are several good qualities about this tea that I can't overlook! First, it is beautiful before brewing and after. Before, it looks like someone chopped up pink roses and leaves. It looks pretty swirling around in my ingenuitea mug. And after, it brews into a gorgeous fuchsia color. It also smells like candy. It's not bad but I think I'll stick with Bigelow Raspberry Royale for now.
