serendipitea-secret-garden.jpgI judged a tea by its title and now I'm paying for it. I'm not sure why I thought a tisane called "Secret Garden" would be anything different than this mix of Rose, Lavender, Chamomile, and Mint but somehow it's not meshing very well for me. This is quite strong on the mint and lavender, a little less so with chamomile and no discernable rose that I could tell. I think my issue is that mint is energizing to me while chamomile is relaxing, so when the two mix I just get confused.

On the other hand, I can see how a lover of mint and lavender would adore this; the combination of the two taste almost clean and pure, with the chamomile adding a touch of sweetness. There is a touch of astringency that suits the aftertaste. I imagine this would be great at an afternoon baby shower, served next to white cake with lavender frosting. Lovely in some contexts, just not my thing.
