Thumbs up!"Nutty and sweet, with a subtle hint of chocolate... and the second infusion was just as delicious as the first."

serendipitea-bolivian-black.jpgI was really excited to try this tea because I have only tried Asian, African and Indian teas before. SerendipiTea states on their website that this tea hails “from pristine family-owned gardens on the high slopes of the Yungas just hours north of La Paz, where the Andes meet the Amazon basin”. The leaves of this tea appeared the same as any other but the aroma was slightly different. I brewed it using my Zarafina tea maker set on strong black.

This tea had a wonderfully smooth taste. It was nutty and sweet but I can't quite put my finger on it. The best description I can find is that it almost tastes and smells like chocolate. I love that I didn't need milk or any sweeteners. I find that black teas are usually much too strong on their own, but this one was an exception to the rule. The second infusion was just as delicious as the first. I really enjoyed this tea and I would definitely recommend it.
