golden-moon-irish-breakfast.jpg At first glance, this black tea seems wholly unremarkable in appearance. It is comprised of dried and fermented black tea as is any other brand, but the subtle mixture of some golden threads hints at a deeper meaning to this potpourri. The scent from the package is not terribly strong either. It has a clean, fresh scent, not unlike that of dried hay.

Brewing yields a dark tea, the amber color of which rivals the hue of an amber bock beer. The aroma is sweet, still similar to the fragrance of hay. Upon the first sip, I experienced a sweet, mild flavor of traditional black tea, but no briskness to follow. Now, Iʼve tried this tea twice, and Iʼve noticed a correlation to the anatomy of this tea and that of a well pulled espresso shot; this tea has a creamy flavor at the head, beguiling its bottom nature of traditional brisk black tea at the heart of the cup. I rather felt that I was getting two cups in one as I had this same experience no matter whether I utilized a sachet or infusing ball.
