Its OK"The blueberry flavouring is a bit strong for the tea, but it's a good flavouring that stays into the aftertaste. Zhi teas are organic, so if cost is not an issue for you, I would recommend this as a good, basic fruit-flavoured white tea."

zhi-white-blueberry.jpgI'm a frugal college student, so I'll admit that the cost of a given tea possibly matters far more to me than it might to the average tea drinker, but the fact is that it makes a big difference in my tea buying decisions. Don't get me wrong here - I don't believe in sacrificing flavour for cost, but if I'm spending a lot on a tea, I want to be getting my money's worth.

At first glance, the tea leaves are beautiful and smell pleasant, but, while the website says the tea is blended with organic blueberries, there were no actual blueberries anywhere to be seen. The blue malva flowers are attractive and add a bit of colour, but I can't help but think they were mostly added to bulk up the tea a bit with something cheaper than white tea. I am a bit of a skeptic, so I may be wrong. As an experiment, I tried steeping some of the flowers by themselves, and they don't have a different flavour than the tea itself, so for the price of the tea, I'd rather just have tea leaves.

I should probably just move on from the flowers to the rest of the tea...

The blueberry flavouring is a bit strong for the tea, but it's a good flavouring that stays into the aftertaste. Zhi teas are organic, so if cost is not an issue for you, I would recommend this as a good, basic fruit-flavoured white tea. If cost is an issue, however, I would vote that there are other white teas that give you a bit more bang for your buck.
