Thumbs up!"This is nice light rooibos, and while the orange is a little more prevalent, neither the orange nor lemon zest truly dominates the cup for me. "

teaguys-cirtus-burst.jpg"A rooibos based tea with a burst of citrus zest and fortified with natural Vitamin C and real orange pieces. Creating a great tasting orange tea to boost your health and brighten your day."--from Tea Guys website.  When I tear open the sample, a fragrant and citrusy aroma emerges from the package.  I can smell both lemon and orange in the blend.  Tea Guys seems to be famous for putting a surprising ingredient into their blends and this one contains organic rooibos, orange peel, carrot, lemon peel, natural flavors, and natural vitamin C (acerola cherry).  You don't see carrots or vitamin C added to every tea!  I am citrus tea fan so I am excited to taste this.

I prepared this according to directions and the fragrant citrus aroma permeated my whole kitchen--well it smells clean amongst the 99 tea samples cluttering my counter top---no obsessive tea buying goes on in my house...lol.  Amongst the aroma you can pick out the vitamin smell--very faintly and it disappears relatively quickly.  This is nice light rooibos, and while the orange is a little more prevalent, neither the orange nor lemon zest truly dominates the cup for me.  This is good with just a touch of sugar and can also stand alone sans sweetener.  While I love citrus teas, I am still not convinced that rooibos is my favorite base for them.  However, I do love rooibos and this is a well done blend.

I really enjoyed drinking this.  With flu season around the corner and it being fortified with vitamin C, then I should think that we should all be placing our orders for a few ounces of this now.  It delivers a light bodied rooibos with a balanced lemon/orange citrus taste.  I keep thinking about some white tea leaves in my tea maker that I can still get another infusion out of ---I think adding a tsp of this to those should make a great tasting cup before bed.  I really liked this blend and it will be in my shopping cart the next time I place an order with Tea Guys.

Update:  about 3/4 tsp of Citrus Burst infused with white tea leaves = awesome!
