Its OK"While I liked this blend to a certain extent, I do feel that its given name is poorly chosen. I try not to fault a blend for being poorly named, but its name does set up expectations. If I am purchasing a blend called Gingersnap Cookie, then I am thinking it will have ginger in it and a cookie quality."

Tea Guys is one of those companies that I truly love to get samples from. Their flavored blends are usually very well done and full of surprises. With ingredients including organic rooibos, pineapple, mango, papaya, glazed almonds, coconut, walnuts, peanuts, hazelnuts, and natural flavors, this blend looks to be a bit intriguing as well. It smells rather sweet and nutty and the aroma is reminiscent of a cookie, but my first thought is where is the ginger? How do you call something a gingersnap cookie and it has no ginger?

I steeped this for 5+ minutes in water that had been brought to a boil. This tastes primarily like a candied nut to me with a sweet fruity finish. There is something about this reminds me of a breakfast cereal--one of the nuttier ones with fruit pieces in it---or a granola bar! This would be a good tea to go with breakfast for children. There is a lot going on in this cup as is evident by the number of ingredients alone. I find it hard to pinpoint any one flavor as dominating, but do think that the nuts in general are the predominant flavor.

While I liked this blend to a certain extent, I do feel that its given name is poorly chosen. I try not to fault a blend for being poorly named, but its name does set up expectations. If I am purchasing a blend called Gingersnap Cookie, then I am thinking it will have ginger in it and a cookie quality. This lacks either of those qualities. Even taking my preconceived ideas about the blend out of the equation, I feel that this is just okay. I am not the world's biggest fan of nutty teas though.
