Its OK"I think they deliver exactly what they promise - it tastes like tea version of a hot apple pie with a bit of extra fruit bite added, though it smells more strongly of cinnamon than it tastes."

serindipiteaobama44.jpgAs I have mentioned eleventy-billion times, I am Canadian and currently living north of the border. Regardless of this fact, I have still been keeping an eye on the American economy, American politics, and so on. I don't really trust any politicians, but I appreciate when people show dedication to anything, and I applaud Serendipitea's enthusiasm for the new president!

The leaves are appealing with big chunks of fruit and a fruity smell. This tea is a bit touchy, as I steeped my first cup with hot-as-possible water for 3 1/2 minutes, and it was already starting to get bitter. I steeped the second cup for 3 minutes, and it was just a smidgen on the weak side.

SerendipiTea's website describes this tea as "a brisk, clear cup of straight-forward Kenyan Black blended with a taste of All-American Apple Pie & a hint of Hawaii (Apples, go-Mango & Cinnamon)." I think they deliver exactly what they promise - it tastes like tea version of a hot apple pie with a bit of extra fruit bite added, though it smells more strongly of cinnamon than it tastes. Unfortunately, the aftertaste is virtually nonexistent, and i would have appreciated the flavour to last.

This blend is good, but just like apple pie, it is not the most exciting tea I have ever had. It does, however, inspire me to try more of the SerendipiTea brand as this was an excellent example of a simple flavoured tea.
