zhi-white-blueberry.jpgI'm a huge fan of blueberry-flavored anything, and I must admit, when I first discovered blueberry white tea, it was not what I was expecting; it wasn't the fake, artificial flavoring you find in most things; it actually tasted like blueberries. Since then, I've experimented with different kinds of blueberry tea, but I keep coming back to white tea, because the blueberries usually pair very well with natural sweetness of the white tea, and Zhi's blueberry white is no exception.

The tea itself looks great. My sample was bit mashed up, but there were still great big chunks of leaves and whole malva flower buds which look gorgeous and fit perfectly in a blueberry tea. It smells great, too. The blueberry scent is sweet and distinct, but not so much so that the white tea can't be smelled, either. In the taste department, it lives up to the expectations I have for blueberry white tea, though it's not the best the I've ever had. The white tea, while not the highest quality, provides a strong base for the blueberry flavor, which is sweet enough to complement the white tea without overpowering it. It doesn't taste artificial, either, which is always a plus.

Bottom Line: A solid white tea to begin with, the blueberry flavoring makes it a winner in my book. It's not the best blueberry white tea I've had, but it's not far behind, and anyone who likes flavored white teas will absolutely adore this.
