Thumbs up!"The flavors really work well together. The lemon balm flavor is nice and a distinct addition. The licorice works well in this tea. I generally don’t care for it as it can be so overwhelming but here it is a welcome addition."

teazone-eight-treasures.jpgBackground:
This tea smells wonderful. There is definitely mint but not super minty. The other constituents also come through. The list of ingredients includes Rosemary, Lemon Balm, Linder, Eucalyptus, Wood Betony, Blackberry Leaf, Ginseng, and Spearmint. What an incredible list of herbs and spices. The smell is intoxicating and really draws me in. The Tea Zone website says this is a great tea for relieving stress and headaches.
The Tea Zone website has lots of information about each tea. They really have a lots of information presented in a clear fashion. I like the website. They sell the tea in various sizes. All the information is laid out clearly. Top marks for the online web presence.
Brewing:
Fully boiled water with 2 minutes of settling before it was steeped for 5 minutes.
Taste/Impressions:
After brewing the aroma is far less minty than the dry tea. The mint flavor nicely completes and compliments the rest of the tea flavors. This is a full flavored tea though many components come through in a subtle fashion. The flavors really work well together. The lemon balm flavor is nice and a distinct addition. The licorice works well in this tea. I generally don't care for it as it can be so overwhelming but here it is a welcome addition. I don't recognize the other flavors but they add nicely to the overall aroma and taste.
I recommend letting the tea cool a little. The flavors really shine. This tea has all the components to relax and soothe. In truth, I initially gave this tea one rating when it was hot and I have during the course of the review increased the rating that is how much I have come to like this tea. Give it a try especially if you like drinking tea to help soothe and relax you after a difficult day.
Conclusion:
A nice, balanced herbal tea with various subtle flavors/tastes. If your looking for a tea with complex flavors working well together then check this tea out. Well recommended for herbal tea lovers.
