Its OK"To the taste, it was mellow with a citrus hint and a green tea finish. I'd even go as far as to say it was complex, what with the encyclopedia of herbs it contained."

yogi-green-tea-active-body.gifAlright, I'll come clean. I'm probably the last person who should be reviewing a tea called "Active Body", being a self-professed lazy bastard and all. By the looks of it, this blend was made for the Alpha-Tea Geek on the go...and I'm more of an Omega. Maybe Epsilon. Comfy chair, pajamas et al. I still need slippers, though.

The ingredient list for this blend is far too long for me to elaborate upon here. The teabag reads like an apothecary's archive. I half-expected to run into eye of newt somewhere, but that was thankfully missing. Amidst the alchemic list, the one that stuck out the most was "ginseng-eleuthero extract", then it parenthetically outlined what that meant. Four ginseng types were present, Siberian ginseng being the lightest of the bunch. In summary, a zinger milkshake.

The first thing worth noting before steeping was that the teabag had a very floral scent, followed closely behind by berry and lemon. Stevia - listed among the ingredients - did not betray a sweetness on first impression. Upon splashdown, the boiling water turned bright green like an energy drink. The steam it emanated had a lemony tone, which was also prevalent in the first sip. To the taste, it was mellow with a citrus hint and a green tea finish. I'd even go as far as to say it was complex, what with the encyclopedia of herbs it contained. I can't say this stuff compelled me to activity, but it did go down well as I rested on my laurels.
