mightyleafwhitepeonyMighty Leaf is a fairly well-known retailer, but they tend a bit of trouble with white teas. While I've tried a few that were excellent, the rest that I've tried were not that great. This is the first white tea of theirs that I've tried that isn't great, but doesn't completely suck, either.

The dried leaves look pretty good, like your standard white tea. They smell kind of grassy, but in a good way. Usually white tea has a bit of natural sweetness, but that's not present in the aroma of the dried tea. Once brewed up, it still smells grassy and vegetal, but again, not in a bad way. Finally, it tastes pretty much how it smells. Kind of grassy, but delicately so, without any natural sweetness.

Bottom Line: It's pretty much average; it's certainly drinkable, but it lacks much of the subtlety that makes white tea so popular.
