Thumbs up!"The tea itself has a light taste. Mint and chrysanthemum are the prominent flavors, though the chrysanthemum is a bit stronger while the mint comes out more in the aftertaste and light cooling sensation left in your mouth after a sip."

teazone-perfect-day-start1.jpgWhen most people hear the phrase 'Perfect Day Start' describing a beverage they think of something strong and black, which was why this particular blend struck me as interesting. Peppermint, spearmint, chrysanthemum, chamomile, and Gunpowder green tea don't sound particularly strong or black, but they do sound delicious.

And they are indeed delicious. Before steeping, the tea smells minty and earthy. After brewing, it kind of smells like a flower, which isn't too surprising given the ingredients. The liquor is actually fairly dark, given it is an 'herbal' blend, though also not too surprising since it does include green tea. The tea itself has a light taste. Mint and chrysanthemum are the prominent flavors, though the chrysanthemum is a bit stronger while the mint comes out more in the aftertaste and light cooling sensation left in your mouth after a sip. It does take sugar pretty well, sweetening the chrysanthemum flavor, mostly. You don't need much, either, which is always a nice thing.

Bottom Line: The flavor is nothing like coffee or a good breakfast blend tea, but I personally think that makes it an excellent morning tea. I have nothing against coffee or breakfast blends, but I know of a few people in addition to myself who have more delicate stomachs in the morning, making it difficult for us to enjoy stronger morning beverages. This beverage fits the bill nicely, as it's a much gentler tea, and still gets a bit a caffeine from the green tea. Even if you love a good cup 'o joe in the morning, if you like a good floral-y herbal blend, I'd definitely recommend giving this one a try.
