Thumbs up!"A black-tea based blend of many ingredients that blend together perfectly; topped off with a slight mint twist."

leaves-of-provence.jpgThis tea is classified as an artisan tea by Mighty Leaf. When I looked it up on the internet, it became obvious by the amount and diversity of ingredients why they would consider it an artisan tea!! The ingredients are as follows: Black tea, mint, verbena, lime tea, lavender, citrus fruits, rose tea, dried fruit pieces, orange peels, vanilla pieces, white tea, natural flavors, cornflower petal. Wow! Whoever created this tea should be given an award because somehow this long list of ingredients blends into a perfectly enjoyable cup of tea.
I think of this as an Earl Grey with a twist. It has a definite zesty and crisp aroma. The smell of it is truly like a fresh stream in the woods and makes you want to dive right in. That being said, this tea would make a wonderfully refreshing iced tea.
The taste is another fresh and sparkling experience. While it does exude a bergamot-like quality when drinking, the mint and lavender really step it up a notch. In fact, I think this is the best tea I’ve had from Mighty Leaf.
It feels cold and refreshing even when hot, which is a feat that seems to be accomplished once again by the mint. However, even though the mint enhances this brew to its full potential, it never overshadows the other flavors. All these ingredients combined are hard to detect individually, but as a whole they work in perfect harmony. Sometimes the black tea base by Mighty Leaf is bitter, but not in this case.
If you like Earl Grey straight up or with any other factors, definitely give this a try. I truly love this refreshingly different and artisans blend!
