kokomoraspberrygingerKokomo Tea presents another white tea blend that definitely lives up to the "blend" title. Ingredients include a mixture of green tea, Bai Mu Dan white tea, ginger bits, raspberries, cloves, cardamom and even a tiny bit of black pepper. One would expect their to be spiciness aplenty with the pepper inclusion, but that doesn't come into play at all. Rather, it's the berry profile that gains prominence on initial impression. The spices seem happy in the backseat.

The Kokomo website states to steep 1 heaping teaspoon per 8oz cup at 180°-190° for 2-6 minutes. I steeped in boiling water for about two. It still came out fine. Sue me, I was at work and in a hurry.

Scent-wise, the raspberry and ginger remained bold in the yellow-ish liquor. The tastes was slightly floral for a berry-rich white tea, but not unpleasant. As the site touts, there indeed was a tartness to it, but nothing to cause lips to pucker inward. All in all, a decent-ish batch for a Bai Mu Dan blend.
