necessiteas-lemon-raspberry.jpgWhen I got my most recent shipment of tea in the mail, I could only smell one tea when I opened up the bag. Of all 17 different types of teas from a wide variety of companies, I could only smell one. It wasn't even that it just stood out - it overpowered the scent of all the rest of the teas, and it smelled amazing. I quickly pulled out all the samples, sniffing each one and hunting for the specific scent. Once I found it, I knew it had to be the first tea I tried since I was so intrigued.

After three minutes of steeping, the scent of the tea itself was a bit more subdued and quite a bit different - having a more flowery characteristic rather than just the fruitiness of the dry leaves. Not quite as awesome, but still appealing.

For my first cup, I found the green tea a bit hard to detect behind the strong flavours, but those flavours are not too overpowering. This tea definitely has both a lemon and a raspberry flavour, but both blend well together into one delectable taste. The floral scent came out in the aftertaste, which I'm guessing is actually the raspberry in disguise.

By the time I got to my second cup, however, I was beginning to find the lemon taste a bit too strong. It was still good - just not as amazing as the first cup. The flavour is just a tad intense, and I would find this tea better suited to an occasional beverage rather than one I drink very often. I see this as a good thing; however, since it means this tea stands out from the hundreds of other green blends that I could drink consistently but never find very exciting.
