necessiteasrockinmorNormally when I think of mint and chocolate I think of the ice cream, which I do not like. This isn't the case with The NecessiTeas Rockin' Moroccan Mint. It's a blend of gunpowder green tea, peppermint, and chocolate. This tea even has chocolate chips in it! The blend of flavors is fantastic; definitely a decadent tea.Not at all earthy or lacking sweetness like a lot of greens.

The aroma is enticing, almost cravable. You almost cannot separate the light scent of mint from the warm scent of chocolate. I love the look of the tea, that was the first thing to draw me to it. There are chocolate chips, different shapes, some purple and green. Mint is the most prominent flavor here with a subtle bit of chocolate that lingers after you have swallowed. While piping hot the tea isn't as flavorful, but after letting it cool about 10 minutes you can really taste the subtleties and nuances of the green tea and chocolate. A little of this tea goes a long way! I brewed about 20 ounces, which calls for about 5 level teaspoons; I think I used 3. If you add a little sweetener, it's the perfect cup. I think the tea would be too strong if the recommended amount was used.

This is not what I think of when I think green tea. I was very pleasantly surprised. It's great as an after dinner treat, or even just to wind down a long day.It did wonders for my rainy, Ohio day. Since it's green tea it is decaffeinated so not to worry if drinking it before bed.

If you are not up for the intense mint flavor (of which I LOVE), this is your tea. If you are not a mint lover but would like to try something new or if you love chocolate anything, this will be your tea.

Overall, it is a decent cup of tea, even though the tea leaves itself may not be the best. Of which, is common among teas in the great US of A.

I also despise chocolate mint Ice cream. I LOVE mint ice cream, but I find shards of sharp, rock hard, and mostly flavourless until it melts chocolate to be a tongue cutting, bad tooth agonising distraction.
