teasetcmangonut"Yummy combinations of delicious mango, hearty macadamia nut and refreshing coconut are as refreshing as a cool island breeze." --- Teas Etc. website.

Awhile back, I received a sample of this from Teas Etc. as part of their free sample program. I instantly fell in love with it!! This is currently one of my favorite rooibos blends. It has been on a short list of blends that I am going to order in the next few months, but I have promised myself that I am not ordering anymore teas until I get my current tea inventory under control (I have waaaaay more tea than one lady can drink). Anyway, when I saw this on the list of available samples, I made sure this one made its way into my envelope because I've been fiending for some more of it.

Teas Etc. lists the ingredients of this blend as red and green rooibos, coconut pieces, and flavor. The overwhelming flavor of this blend is the nut and when I say nut, I mean primarily coconut!! This has a delicious, tropical coconut flavor that I just love. However, this is just a rather nutty blend in general. Red rooibos, anyway, is a rather nutty tasting base, I'm guessing that this has macadamia nut flavoring(?), and the coconut. The green rooibos adds interest, but I don't recall green rooibos being as nutty as its red (roasted) counterpart. I would mention to those that have not tried green rooibos that it is not for everyone, but I happen to love it. The mango flavor is subtle and is best detected as the drink cools. If I were to tweak this blend to perfection, I would personally kick the mango flavor up a notch. That is probably my biggest criticism of this blend---it either needs more mango or to be named differently. I personally prefer to enjoy this lightly sweetened. This cup is also delicious with a splash of milk and I suspect that this is outstanding iced.
