Thumbs up!"The mango doesn't jump out at you, but that's no bother. This blend has a luscious creamy sweet richness to it that is super, and the nuttiness is a great companion to the rooibos."

teasetcmangonutTeas Etc. has some really delicious dessert blends - I tried out some sample sizes of rooibos based coconut custard and chocolate souffle and both were delicious, super creamy and very decadent! After those good experiences, I didn't have any hesitation about trying mango nut.

A rooibos based dessert blend, there are slender threads of coconut and tiny pieces of nut (the website mentions macadamia specifically though I couldn't truthfullly distinguish tastewise) along with the pretty burnished rooibos. This tea received an honorable mention at the World Tea Championship and is currently the featured Rooibos tea at the Teas Etc. web site, which is great and full of information, by the way. I get hints of the mango at the beginning of each sip - it's a little whiff/taste of very ripe mango in the nose mostly and a bit as a hint of backdrop to the sip. Overall, the mango is really subtle and I had to concentrate to notice it. I found it most when actively sipping, which sort of rolls the flavors around a bit. The nuttiness along with the coconut comes through really nicely. This is a nice sweet blend, and I recommend it highly with a little bit of your favorite sweetener to augment the flavors just perfectly. This tea functions wonderfully as a companion to a dessert, but also is a dessert in and of itself, sweet with body.

The mango doesn't jump out at you, but that's no bother. This blend has a luscious creamy sweet richness to it that is super, and the nuttiness is a great companion to the rooibos. Mmmm! Nice stuff! I wonder how it would be iced? Teas Etc. recommends trying it iced with some creamer as a latte, and that sounds pretty decadent!
